Five (5) fun exercises on a ski trip other than skiing

Ski

Skiing is one of the most well-known winter exercises for good reasons. It offers the chance to soak up the fresh mountain air and scenic views while shouting from the snowy hills and pine trees. Unfortunately, the same weather that dumps inches of fresh snow to allow you to ski can also cause dangerous weather conditions that can close ski parks and keep you off the slopes. But you don't have to worry, besides skiing, you can engage in many other activities. The following are 5 fun activities on a ski getaway close to skiing.

Apres ski

1. Après Ski

The word signifies "after skiing" and by and large means unwinding with companions following a difficult day on the slants. However, you don't have to ski all day for this fun activity. If you can't make it to the mountain, stay inside and enjoy craft beers, wine and food with friends and family.

2. Stay in and watch movies

2. Stay in and watch movies

One of life's greatest pleasures is staying cozy by a warm fire while a blizzard rages outside. Don't let the bad weather get you down, stay inside and enjoy a relaxing evening with the comforts of your accommodation. Cook a good dinner, enjoy some wine, put on that movie you've been wanting to see, or simply curl up on the couch with a good book.

3. Hot tub and spa

3. Hot tub and spa

If your accommodation has a hot tub or spa, relax your muscles and recover after a long weekend of skiing. Day skiing can tire even the most experienced enthusiast. It is recommended to take a break and rest every 2 to 3 days. This is the perfect time to take advantage of your extra accommodation or take a trip into town for a day at the spa. Your body will thank you.

4. Snowshoes

4. Snowshoes

Snowshoeing is a great way to get exercise and participate in outdoor activities when you can't or don't want to ski. To go with the snowshoe, you put something that looks like tennis rackets on your shoes. These will transfer the weight to a wide snow surface and allow you to walk solidly even on freshly fallen snow. It provides a less strenuous walk along with the feeling of gliding on snow. Even if it is snowing heavily outside, you can participate in this activity and go on hikes around the city.

5. Snow Tubing

5. Snow Tubing

Maybe you can't ski or you're recovering from an injury. Snowtubing is a great way to enjoy nature in a fun and exciting way. Snowtubing requires you to grab an inner tube and slide down a mountainside similar to sledding. There are even makeshift tubing parks with tracks, racing activities, and obstacle courses. However, even the basics will get anyone's pulse racing.

Don't feel pressured to only ski during your mountain trip. Take advantage of all the other activities available to you and have fun.
